Tuesday Club

Since Covid this club has now amalgamated with the Monday club to create a more vibrant social club.  Our members look forward to coming every week and are always very welcoming to new people who join.  Quizzes, gentle keep fit, crafts and diamond art are all very much looked forward to but the most important game is of course Bingo which our members thoroughly enjoy.

Wednesday Club

The Centre is open on a Wednesday and facilitates our “All in Club”. This club caters to members with complex needs, learning difficulties and mental health issues. Most members who use this club come between 10am and 2.45pm either staying all day or accessing the club as a drop in between those times.

The café is open and members make their own food choices throughout the day. Some members are accompanied by carers or support workers and there are various activities on throughout the day from pool the Wii, Karaoke, Board Games and Quizzes.

The members of this club have forged firm friendships with one another and look forward to coming every week. There are various parties throughout the year which are always greeted with great enthusiasm.

Thursday Raid The Larder

Since the cost of living crisis of the last year and soaring cost of energy we have expanded this club to include giving out hot meals when our clients come in for food parcels.  These meals are available to anyone who comes into the Centre for help, and we give out enough hot food to cover the whole family.

We are also in a position at the moment to distribute food vouchers to local families with children and single people who are working but finding it difficult to make ends meet.  Because of demand our capacity has more than doubled in the last year and in the cold weather we expect an increase in numbers.

Friday Lunch Club

This famous club started in 2004 and has been the stepping stone for many of the activities taking place in the Centre. Our members can access this club from 10.00am where they meet in the Café for morning coffee before lunch at 12 noon.

Places at our  Tuesday & Friday club are by reservation only. We generally have places but need to work a booking system for catering purposes.

Children’s Project

A project for Children & families run by Project Staff held on Wednesdays from 3.45pm till 6.30pm. This is to help marginalised families in the community bond, learn to cook & eat as a family while making new friends.

There is also a homework project within the time the families are in the Centre and staff on hand to offer advice on Housing, Monetary budgeting and Health & Wellbeing.

Computer Suite

Computers are free of charge to use in our Computer Suite form Tuesday to Friday on a drop in basis.  A member of staff is available to help anyone who is struggling and not quite up to speed.  The computers can also be used for anyone who needs access to their benefit claims.
